Myakka River Oyster Bar | Casual Dining in Venice Florida

Since the 1950's it has been known as Playmore Resort - the go to old Florida Fish Camp. Over the years it has evolved into one of Florida's finest old traditional seafood houses - located on the Florida west coast.  Opening in February will be a beautiful new outside dining area, complete with a beautiful waterside fire pit.  The new area is called Playmore Point and will have entertainment scheduled Friday thru Saturday.  Come on over in February to check it out.

Because of its incredible scenic qualities, the Myakka River was declared a "Wild and Scenic River" by the Florida legislature in 1985. Only one other river in Florida bears this distinction.

Combine this picturesque setting with one of southwest Florida's best family restaurants, throw in a terrific menu full of fresh seafood, steaks, chicken, and pasta; and you've just described the Myakka River Oyster Bar.
